The San Diego Calendar

The farmers markets that run every week and the big annual events San Diegans plan around, from the County Fair to December Nights. Click any day to see details.

The short answer

Every week in San Diego starts with the farmers markets: Little Italy Mercato on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Ocean Beach on Wednesday evenings, and Hillcrest on Sundays. The big annual events follow a steady rhythm: Restaurant Week in January and September, the San Diego County Fair from June into early July, Pride and Comic-Con in July, Fleet Week in the fall, and December Nights in Balboa Park on the first Friday and Saturday of December. Always confirm dates with the organizer before you go.
